From July 10th until the 15th the town of Kinsale, County Cork will be invaded by some of the strangest tourists it has ever seen. Brought to you as a part of the Kinsale Arts Week, Mangiare Theatre Company presents an ongoing, interactive series of street theatre interludes and spectacles featuring a mis-matched, dysfunctional family of European tourists. Performing in the bouffon style and drawing on a range of acrobatic and clown backgrounds, La Familie European wind their way through the streets of Kinsale looking for Irish pubs, catching buses, hailing taxis, trying to read maps, and engaging everyone they meet in their own special brand of madcap humour.

Featuring an international band of performers trained at the Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, La Familie European will be seen all over Kinsale on the street and will feature in a performance on Sunday the 15th when they somehow manage to find themselves on stage in front of an unsuspecting public…
